Galileo is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store your information when you use Galileo for 3D scanning of plantar surfaces and other body parts. Access to the App requires login via your organization’s OpenID provider.

1. Information We Collect

a. Authentication Data

Users must log in using their organization’s OpenID provider. We do not store OpenID credentials, but maintain a secure session token for the duration of your session.

b. 3D Scan and Mesh Data

By using the scanning functionality, you consent to the use of the TrueDepth or Structure Sensor data as described. If you do not wish to share scan data, you may disable scanning or refrain from uploading mesh files for processing.

c. Crash Reporting and Diagnostics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymized crash logs and performance data (such as device type, operating system version, and app state) to help us monitor and improve app stability. These logs are retained for 90 days in accordance with Firebase’s privacy policy. Crash reports do not contain any scan content or personally identifiable information.

d. Mobile Device Access

The Galileo application may request access to your device’s camera strictly for scanning functionality and file handling. These permissions can be managed through your device settings.

We implement appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Despite our efforts, we cannot guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or unauthorized third parties will not be able to breach our security and access your information. Use of the App and transmission of data is at your own risk. You should only access our services in a secure environment.
