Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how the Skeltec application collects, uses, and protects information related to the user’s usage of the app designed for 3D scanning of plantar bases and foam box impressions.

1. Information Collected by the App

a. 3D Scan Data

The App allows users to perform 3D scans of the following body parts and objects:

• Plantar base (single foot – left or right)
• Plantar base (both feet)
• Foam box impressions (single foot – left or right)
• Foam box impressions (both feet)

The App uses Apple’s TrueDepth camera system and/or the Structure Sensor solely to generate 3D scan data.

b. 3D Mesh Data

• Scans are used to generate 3D mesh files.
• 3D scans and generated mesh files are stored temporarily on the device.
• Scan data is not uploaded automatically.
• Uploads occur only when explicitly initiated by the user.
• The App does not use scan data for facial recognition, user identification, tracking, advertising, or marketing purposes.

2. Data Upload and Storage

When the user chooses to upload a scan:

• 3D mesh data is transmitted securely to Skeltec’s secure web platform.
• Uploaded data is subject to the privacy policy of the Skeltec’s secure web platform.
• Skeltec does not retain, store, or access scan data by default within the mobile application.
• Requests for access to or deletion of uploaded data must be directed to the Skeltec organization.

3. Personal Information

The App does not collect personal identifiers, including but not limited to:

• Names
• Email addresses
• User profiles
• Contact information

Any personal information required for processing scans is handled outside of the App through Skeltec’s secure web platform.

4. Analytics and Diagnostics

The App may use third-party services for performance and stability purposes, including:

• Google Analytics (anonymous usage statistics)
• Crashlytics (crash reporting and diagnostics)

These services may collect limited, anonymized technical data, such as device type, operating system version, and app usage events. This data is not used for advertising or tracking across apps or websites.

5. Authentication and Web Access

The App does not manage user accounts directly. When authentication is required, users are redirected via an in-app browser to Skeltec’s secure web platform, where login and authorization are handled externally. The App itself does not store login credentials.

6. Intended Use

The App is intended for use by authorized medical or healthcare professionals affiliated with Skeltec. It is not designed for consumer or public use. The App functions as a data capture and transmission tool and does not provide medical diagnoses, recommendations, or treatment decisions.

7. User Control and Data Removal

• Users control when scan data is created and uploaded.
• Scan data remains on the device until the user chooses to upload it.
• The App does not retain scan data once it has been exported or uploaded or closed.
• Any data stored on external systems is governed by the policies of the Skeltec organization.
